Handcrafted Lighting Made from Recycled Boat Sails

Discover the OÈST Ateliers lighting collection: bedside lamps, floor lamps, pendant lights and lampshades shaped by hand in our workshop in the Landes. Each piece pairs a base made of French wood from sustainably managed forests with a shade cut from an authentic boat sail saved from the scrapyard.

Our craft in upcycled lighting

Nicolas de Chénerilles selects each sail for the quality of its cloth, its sea-spray scars and its technical stitching. The cloth is cleaned, then stretched over a frame designed to spread a soft, warm light. The result: maritime and contemporary lighting, both sturdy and delicate, that tells a sailing story.
